Little Miss Jordyn Jones!

As a member of Morningstar for the past few years I have met some wonderful people! One of those being Mr and Mrs Chris Jones. A lovey couple. I recently had the honor of having a photoshoot with their daughter Little Miss Jordyn for her 1st Birthday. We decided on the Boston Garden for the shoot and thankfully the weather cooperated.

My favorite shot of the session..she's happy here but her new surroundings took some getting used to...

Considering this was her first photoshoot and a little nervous she looked to her dad for some support... But in no time she started to ease into her new surroundings!

A fun game of peekaboo with dad!

And a kiss from her teddy made for a fun photoshoot!

I must say that Jordyn was a excellent subject!

Transcending.Transforming.Reviving

I had the honor of being the photographer for Northeastern's 2010 Intercollegiate Gospel Fest, presented by the Brothers Chi Chapter of Kappa Alphi Psi Fraternity Inc.

With a great lineup of musical performances including, the Kumba Singers of Harvard University, Voices of Imani from Boston College and Rashad McPherson & Divine Purpose the concert was loaded with wonderful music. The concert ended with a great musical ministry of Dr. Marvin Sapp. World renown Gospel recording artist with the latest release of his greatly successful 8th album entitled "Thirsty." Check out pictures from this event...

Boston College's Voices of Imani...

Northeastern University...

Show openers Rashad McPherson & Divine Purpose...

and finally...Mr. Marvin Sapp

As the night came to an end the brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. presented Dr. Marvin Sapp with a Leadership award thanking him for his incredible work as a minister of music. This was a great night filled with great music. To Northeastern University and all who coordinated this concert, thank you for bringing Dr. Marvin Sapp to Boston!

Disaster Hits Haiti

Yesterday, Tuesday January 12th, a major earthquake size 7.0 magnitude has hit the small country of Haiti. This is devastating news for Haitians all over the world. Haiti is the first caribbean nation/ free-black republic to win independace in 1804 with the most sucessful slave revolt in history. Although this was a great accomplishment, Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere. It also has the 2nd highest population density in the western hemisphere with about 2 million people living in the capital of Port au Prince. Haiti has been through so much turmoil in the past few decades. Issues of political unrest, extreme poverty, violence and deforestation have weighted heavily on the nation.

Although poverty stricken, Haiti is a nation full of life and culture Haiti is best known for its Food!

Beautiful landscape...

And beautiful people

Haiti is also a nation of people who love God! And this is why it breaks my heart to hear that Haiti is facing yet another disaster that will bring them 10 steps backwards after working so hard for just one step forward toward economic stability. This earthquake is even more disasterous for the very reason that the infrastructure of the country is very weak. Because of the extreme poverty, homes and buildings in Haiti have been built without the proper framework. Here is an example of a typical home in the poverty stricken areas

The following images are some of the recent damages caused by the earthquake: More and more images continue to pile in via the web and CNN. These pictures are no comparison to the actual damage yet to be reported.. Haitians are a STRONG people and will get through this but we need your help. It has been reported that even a hospital and the presidential palace have been destroyed..not good! It has also been reported that about 9 million people have been affected by this earthquake. It has been very difficult for Americans to reach their family members in Haiti. This is the number provided to reach family 888-407-4747.

If you want to make a dondation of $5 you cant text "yele" to 501501. $5 will be charged to your next phone bill.

Please keep Haiti and its people in your prayers For the latest updates tune in to CNN

Ok so as the new basketball season begins and everyone in Boston starts to get into the cheering spirit and starts planning play-off watch parties...I cant help but remember the excitement of the 2007-08 season as the Celtics made it to the play-offs and took home the Championship trophy after 12 years of falling short.

Let's take a look at this years starting Line-Up

Kevin Garnett Paul Pierce Rajon Rondo Ray Allen Kendrick Perkins These guys along with the rest of the squad will carry us to the play-offs this season!

Although the celtics fell short last season...A repeat of the 2007-8 Season is all the City of Boston is looking for.

Lets rewind back to the victory celebration that took place in Boston following the 2008 Championship. Fortunately I was working right in the middle of the downtown Boston where the Parade took place and conveniently took an extended break in order to catch all the festivities. The air was thick with excitement as Celtics fans prepared to get a glimpse of their heros.

With camera in hand check out what I caught!

Lovin the little ones...my co-workers sons! My kind of fan! Get your cameras ready! Here comes the squad... Cocky are we?! Our Point Guard Rajon..hes such a cute little one! Paul Pierce! Jesus Shuttlesworth aka (Ray Allen) Great addition to the squad I just Love it...too cute! Guess im not the only one that snuck out of my office! Coach!! So happy for him...taking the last ranked team to the #1 spot! KG holding on to the trophy...thats what its all about! and on that day confetti filled the sky.... I am very excited to see how far our boys go this season. Let's make it to the playoffs! Go Celtics!!
